The college finally broke its humdrum routine and got into a festive mood on the day of Rakshabandhan, which was celebrated for the first time in college. A large crowd, including first years and mostly girls, gathered near the Centre Circle, waiting to tie rakhis to their ‘brothers’ and fighting for the yellow helium balloons that were being distributed. The event kicked off with the organisers welcoming and cheering the over-enthusiastic crowd, after which girls could be seen running behind boys to tie rakhis;
many were even spotted hiding with multiple rakhis on their wrists. The occasion ended on a sweet note with students going back (some sad, others happy) with pedas to munch on.
